DbVisualizer 26.2 with Inline AI Actions, Geospatial Data Visualization, and Audit Logging

DbVisualizer is the database client with the highest user satisfaction. It is used for development, analytics, maintenance, and more, by database professionals all over the world. It connects to all popular databases and runs on Win, macOS & Linux.
DbVisualizer 26.2 introduces several workflow-focused improvements for developers, DBAs, data engineers and professional teams. A more integrated AI experience, visualization for geospatial data, improved grid filtering and database connection search, support for tab groups, and more.
Here's a quick look at what's new.
AI Actions Directly in SQL Commander
The AI Assistant is now more deeply integrated into the SQL editor.
Instead of switching to a separate panel, you can invoke AI actions directly from SQL Commander to:
Fix SQL syntax issues
Optimize existing queries
Generate new SQL logic
The standalone AI Assistant is still available for multi-turn discussions, but the new inline actions are designed for rapid iteration while you're writing code.
We've also added support for models from Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI, allowing teams to choose the provider and model that fits their workflow and compliance requirements.
Another useful addition: AI-generated queries can now be executed directly from the assistant, making experimentation much faster.
Search Across Large Database Environments
If you're working with dozens—or hundreds—of database connections, the new connection search features will save time.
You can now:
Search directly in the Databases tree
Quickly locate connections inside nested folders
Search when selecting a target connection in SQL Commander
Built-In Geospatial Visualization
Result sets containing geospatial data can now be visualized directly in DbVisualizer.
The new map viewer makes it easy to validate coordinates and inspect location-based datasets without exporting data to external GIS tools.
Tab Groups for SQL Commander
SQL Commander now supports tab groups.
This makes it easier to separate scripts by environment, project, or task while keeping large workspaces manageable. Combined with Quick File Open, navigating between active work becomes much more efficient.
Additional Improvements
Other notable additions in 26.2 include:
Faster and more capable grid filtering
Client-side audit logging
Amazon Athena and InfluxDB support
Db2 for z/OS view DDL extraction
SQL Server offline status indicators
Visual JSON editing
Vim mode
In-app notifications and the
@notifycommandSecurity and driver updates
